$1000 Awarded to the Edithvale Lifesaving Club

Tim Richardson today announced that the Edithvale Lifesaving Club will receive $1,000 as part of grants made available to help local sporting clubs.

These funds are part of the Sporting Uniform Grants Program 2014-15 which aims to give clubs the opportunity to replace old uniforms with new team tops and shorts. In total, 336 clubs across Victoria will receive grants of up to $1,000.

The programs objectives are to alleviate some of the costs associated with grassroots sport and make sport and recreation more accessible for all those in the local community.

The Andrew’s government is committed to supporting local sporting organisations and will spend $100 million upgrading sporting facilities over the next four years, including $10 million on upgrading female change rooms and $10 million improving cricket facilities.
